Motorcyclist injured in collision with car in south of Tenerife
A 56-year-old man was taken to hospital this morning (Tuesday) after his motorbike crashed into a car in the south of Tenerife. The collision happened just before 7:30 am on the TF-28, near La Camella in Arona.
The emergency services rushed to the road side after receiving multiple calls, with paramedics providing on-site treatment for the rider, who suffered moderate injuries. He was then transferred to Hospital Quirón Costa Adeje for further care.
Officers from the Guardia Civil secured the area, directed traffic, and have opened an investigation into the cause of the crash.
Several Motorbike accidents have been reported in recent months in Tenerife, a 43-year-old man died after a crash on the TF-42 in Icod de los Vinos in July, and another rider was critically injured following a collision in Guía de Isora.
In La Laguna, a motorcyclist was left fighting for his life after a multi-vehicle crash on the TF-5, while a 34-year-old woman lost her life in San Miguel de Abona when her bike hit a car.
Just this past weekend, two people were injured after coming off their motorbike and hitting a safety barrier in Los Roques de Fasnia.
Authorities continue to urge caution, proper protective gear, and strict adherence to speed limits to help prevent further tragedies.
