WEDNESDAY WEATHER: Cooler temperatures and possible light rain in the north of the islands
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) are forecasting cloudier skies in the north of the mountainous islands today, Wednesday, with the possibility of occasional light showers.
Temperatures will remain largely unchanged, although a slight drop is expected in inland areas. Trade winds will continue, at times strong, with very strong gusts likely on the north-west and south-west slopes of the larger islands.
At sea, north-easterly winds of force 4 to 6, occasionally reaching 7, are expected, with moderate to rough seas. On the southern and south-western coasts, winds will be variable with slight seas. A north or north-westerly swell will bring waves of 1 to 2 metres.

Partly cloudy, becoming clearer in the afternoon. Temperatures unchanged. Trade winds with strong intervals, with occasional very strong gusts in the south-east later in the day.

FUERTEVENTURA:
Partly cloudy, clearing in the afternoon. Temperatures stable. Trade winds with strong intervals.
Expected temperature range: 22°C – 25°C.
GRAN CANARIA:
Mostly clear, with persistent cloud in the north where light, occasional rain may fall on the mid-slopes. Temperatures steady. Trade winds with strong intervals and occasional very strong gusts in the south-east and north-west, with breezes dominating along the south-western coasts.
Expected temperature range: 22°C – 26°C.
TENERIFE:
Cloudy intervals, mainly over the north, where light, occasional showers are likely, especially on the north-east slopes. Clearer skies in the east. Maximum temperatures may dip slightly, particularly on the western side. Trade winds with strong intervals and a chance of very strong gusts in the south-east and far north-west, while breezes dominate in the west. Light north-easterly winds on the central peaks.
